A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master is a 1988 horror slasher film. It is a sequel to the 1987 movie A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. It was directed by Renny Harlin and was written by Wes Craven and William Kotzwinkle. It stars Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger, Rodney Eastman as Joey Crusel, and Lisa Wilcox as Alice Johnson. The movie is mainly about Freddy Krueger returning once again to terrorize Alice Johnson and her friends again in her dreams.
The movie was a moderate box office success. It was made on a budget of $13,000,000 and earned over $49,000,000. The film was rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America.
A sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child was released in 1989.
