"Haunted" is a Halloween-themed episode of the TV series The Vampire Diaries. It first aired in the United States on The CW Television Network on October 29, 2009, during Season 1.
Developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec based upon a book series written by L.J. Smith, The Vampire Diaries is a supernatural drama taking place in the fictional Mystic Falls, Virginia, a town haunted and surrounded by supernatural beings.
The show's narrative follows Elena Gilbert, who has fallen in love with the vampire Stefan Salvatore, drawing her into the supernatural world as a result. However, she soon also falls for Stefan's brother Damon as well, leading her into a tumultuous love triangle. At the same time, she possesses a malevolent doppelgänger Katerina Petrova, who had loved both vampires in the past.

As Halloween draws near, Vicki's behavior becomes more dangerous which leads Stefan to try to help control her blood-lust.
