Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives is a 1986 horror slasher film. It is a sequel to the 1989 movie Friday the 13th: A New Beginning. It was directed and written by Tom McLoughlin. It stars Thom Mathews as Tommy Jarvis, Jennifer Cooke as Megan Garris, and David Kagen as Sheriff Michael Garris. The movie is mainly about Tommy Jarvis accidently reviving Jason Voorhees, who still wants to take revenge for their latest encounter.
The movie was a not a great box office success. It was made on a budget of $3,000,000 and earned more than $19,000,000. On its original release, the film was rated X by the Motion Picture Association of America. The rating was later changed to R. The movie was banned in Finland.
In 1989, a sequel, Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, was released.
Tommy Jarvis goes to the graveyard to get rid of Jason Voorhees's body, but he accidentally brings him back to life. Jason wants revenge and Tommy must defeat him once and for all.
