The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is a 1947 romantic fantasy film directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and written by Philip Dunne and R.A. Dick. It stars Gene Tierney, Rex Harrison, and George Sanders.

The movie was released at a time before ratings related to age restrictions were introduced in the United States, it was passed as "Approved" by the Motion Picture Association of America. In Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, the film is currently classified as being suitable for audiences of all ages.


In 1900, a young widow finds her seaside cottage is haunted and forms a unique relationship with the ghost.
